Auto Advertising and Sales Practices Enforcement Policies

The Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division has issued the 3rd edition of the Auto Advertising and Sales Practices Enforcement Policies, effective December 13, 2007.

These policies were originally created and distributed in 1989 in order to provide guidance and direction to Georgia automobile dealers.  The Board of Directors of the Georgia Automobile Dealers (GADA) reviewed and provided valuable input into the formation of the original policies. These policies complement GADA's voluntary advertising guidelines, and considered together, they should assist dealers with their advertising program.

Since new approaches are constantly being developed, these policies are intended to be a resource and should not be considered to be the final word on advertising.
